Women and gender
Scholars have studied women and gender for over fifty years. Critics’ concerns have included how gender disadvantages or benefits individuals, how other identities (such as race, sexuality, ethnicity, age, ability, and regional affiliation) influence gender roles and perspectives, and how to energize positive social change.
Among Professor Kilcup’s primary intellectual interests, women and gender feature substantially in all her scholarly modes, from original critical work to recovery anthologies and editions. Her new work incorporates the insights of material feminism and seeks to develop a consciously embodied critical methodology that will advance environmental awareness and responsibility.
